In 1972, Mark Hill was working for a stair lift manufacturing company. Her worked here for 2 decades and learned everything about developing, creating and maintaining stair lifts. Mike Vogt came to this company in 1981 and worked in designing for a decade and then at the customer service department. Because of a corporate takeover, Mark and Mike could not continue to work till retirement.

They then got together with another talented person by the name of Mark Jackson and together they began Summit lifts. Mark Jackson brought with him deep knowledge of computer assisted designing and precision machining skills. With all this experience and ability, they soon became leading developers and manufacturers of stair lifts. The focus at Summit lifts is on quality, reliability and precision and they leave no stone unturned when it comes to their work.

The founders of Summit Lifts are men of family values and integrity who are responsible manufacturers.
